Build’n’Code is a 5-day hackathon opened to persons on St Kitts interested in web development. A maximum of 20 participants on teams of 3-5 will develop web & mobile app prototypes for specific service-delivery issues within government.
For four days, teams will build apps that digitise several paper-based processes within the government. Participants will have access to the training rooms & co-working space at the National ICT Centre to work together. Each evening features a guided session where teams come together from 6 pm to discuss their progress, and identify any problems they may be facing. On the last day, each team will pitch/present their prototype to a panel of judges who will select the winners.
This event promises to be an engaging experience for participants, and participation only requires having a creative mind. There are prizes to be won for the most collaborative team, the best interface design, and the best pitch.
Build’n’Code takes place from 22nd to 26th July at Innovation Hub, within the National ICT Centre in Basseterre. Our first session starts at 6 pm on the 22nd and the presentations start at 1 pm on the 26th. To register, visit http://bit.ly/buildNcode.
