So outside of blogging here on the site twice a week, sending out our monthly SiliconCaribe Digest, recording Podcast interview for our upcoming Sun, Sea and Startups Podcast series and producing Caribbean Women in Tech Summit event coming in September, I decided I was going to test out having a weekly live broadcast on Facebook we’ve called This Week in Caribbean Tech.
Using the belive.tv app, I’ll be hosting my first This Week in Caribbean Tech Live broadcast this Thursday May 4th, 2017 at 1 p.m – 1:20 p.m on the SiliconCaribe Facebook Page.
As #DigitalCaribbean grows we’re finding that there is a lot going on, so we think it’s a great way to share and receive information about who’s doing what, where and why in our emerging #DigitalCaribbean.
So what’s the format?
I’m keeping it at 15-20mins max and see how that resonates. I’m going to chat about the Top Caribbean Tech News of the Week, do a review of an app, website, social channel, then share some of the upcoming Caribbean and Diaspora based events coming up shortly. Then I will do this short segment called As Seen Online – where we will pluck something that’s trending on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or elsewhere to talk about. Then I take questions from everyone.
