Turkey Continues New Push to Deepen Ties With the Caribbean

Turkey has made no secret of its desire to deepen its relationship with the Caribbean, and the country is continuing that push with a new initiative in Dominica.

Dominica announced that Turkey would be donating 50 computers to the country’s Ministry of Agriculture as part of the island’s goal of making advancements in the information and communication technology sector.

“We are living in an age of technology and ICT is everything and we have an opportunity, with this equipment, to improve the flow of information; to do analyses more speedily,” said Harold Guiste, permanent secretary in Dominica’s Ministry of Agriculture. MORE
