Microsoft to help boost ICT use in Dominican Republic

The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel), Microsoft Dominicana and the Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD) signed an inter-institutional agreement in which they agree to promote sustainable development, competitiveness, digital and technology inclusion of the agricultural and rural sectors, through the use of ICT. They also agreed to contribute to the learning process related to technology as a means to achieve greater specialization and future competitive employment. The pact will identify sources of funding, technical assistance, training, provision of equipment, software and applications, among others.
