CUBA – So Cuba has decided to make Internet access available to its citizens at public cyber-salons or as we’d say cyber cafes. Starting June 4, people can sign up for accounts to use one of the 118 cyber cafes. Generally, we’d consider this great news, since few Cubans currently go online and those who do, only do so through work or school accounts, but the cost will be US$4.50 per hour which we understand is kinda steep for Cubans who make US$20 a month on average from jobs at state agencies. Yet, this is a step in the right direction.
