Rival telecoms providers Columbus Networks and Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) yesterday announced the formation of a joint venture to provide expanded wholesale bandwidth capacity to companies in the Caribbean and Americas. The joint venture, CNL-CWC Networks Inc, is worth US$412 million in combined assets.
In addition, CWC Wholesale Solutions, a subsidiary of Cable & Wireless Communications, has entered into a separate services agreement under which Columbus Networks will provide CWC Wholesale Solutions certain operation and monitoring services, according to a release.
