I’m in South Beach, Miami for the Be Mobile Conference staged by Blackberry. I’m here with 64 other Caribbean and Latin American bloggers and journalists invited to this event. It’s been chuck full of information on Mobile Trends, the Impact of Mobility in Our Lives and Mobile Computing Forecast on this first half of the day. – Trend 1: Computing Power is on the edge…so powerful 98% of smartphones have GPS large screens are faster #bemobile
– Trend 2: Shift in the use of mobile devices from social computing to tangible computing eg bluetooth, augmented environments #bemobile
–Trend 3: Platforms -The smartphone/device is becoming the centre of your world to do EVERYTHING. e.g turn lights on at home. #bemobile
–Trend 4: Smart Connected Devices Smart phones are THE avenue for growth. Yes desktops, notebooks and tablers are still there #bemobile
–Trend 5: Network of things. by 2020 Nearly 30bn devices will be installed. : William Stofega #bemobile
–Trend 6: The Cloud We’re going to start to see building operating systems and devices around the cloud. Already happening.
People want to do more and more to different things using their devices – devices have to keep in tow and exceed expectations. #bemobile
