That 1 million Blackberry 10 phone order: Will Caribbean App Developers fall back in love?

Well you saw the headline ” BlackBerry Partner Purchases One Million BlackBerry 10 Smartphones” – Largest ever single purchase order in BlackBerry’s history and read about the US and Canadian stock market rose up to greet the good news.

This is indeed a watershed moment for Blackberry, formerly known as Research in Motion, as many pundits and devotees had last year, called it dead to the smartphone market.

Yet there were the exceptions. The Caribbean and Latin America,  despite the gloom, doom and dwindling numbers in  markets such as US and Europe, had retained the Blackberry love, even in the face of Samsung and iPhone had been making their presence felt in the last 12 months.

So with this news of the one million Blackberry 10 order, stocks surging coupled with Blackberry still holding market share here…will this give Caribbean App developers renewed excitement and confidence to keep building Blackberry apps for the consumer and business markets?
