According to a May 2011 Comscore Report showed that Latin Americans and Asians are spending the most time on Instant Messengers. In terms of time spent on Instant Messengers, Brazil led with visitors averaging 8.5 hours on IM during the month, followed by users in Hong Kong at 7.6 hours per visitor and Mexico at 7.3 hours per user. When looking at percent reach of the category, Peru saw the strongest penetration with 77.2% of its online population using IM in May, followed by Brazil with 73.8% and Mexico with 71.3%. Vietnam ranked as the #4 market in both average hours per visitor and percent reach for the category.
