R.I.P The FLIP Cam. You’re still serving us very well

We love the FLIP Cam, it’s what we’ve been using to shoot Caribbean Tech Stars and Slash Roots TV for SiliconCaribe.TV. Yeah we are buying bigger cameras now, but the FLIP worked so well. So when we heard the official word that Cisco which bought the startups product line for US$590million in 2009 will close down the business despite the fact that the Flip remained the leading consumer video camera company- we sighed and smiled. The FLIP may be dead in Cisco’s eyes, but very much alive in ours.
