This is the second in a series of 3 interviews with Matthew McNaughton, Founder of Slash Roots Developers Conference which is on February 24th-25th, 2011, explains for those in the know and others who are uninitiated. Using our FLIP Cam and generously hosted by Susie’s Bakery & Coffee Bar, Matthew tells you what and why of this developers conference is about.
But In essence, the main highlight of the ./roots Developer Conference 2011 will be the staging of a 24 hour developer competition.Teams of 3 developers will have a 24hr window in which to build value-added applications and visualizations that demonstrate the possibilities that arise from increased data access. The subject of their application will be a RESTful agriculture API that will be launched at the conference.
