Slash Roots, a new developers conference to be staged here in Kingston, Jamaica next month, officially launched their confrence at the first Kingston BETA event last week at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Founder of the conference Matthew McNaughton told the large audience that Slash Roots “aims at fostering a culture of knowledge creation, collaboration and sharing within the Jamaican developer and technology communities.”
The conference which will be staged on the Mona campus of the University of the West Indies and has the Mona School of Business as a lead sponsor, will be on February 23rd -24th, 2011 and will include speakers+workshops+a hackfest. Watch this space for further details.
