So it seems that blogging is bubbling up again to the front of people’s minds in the Caribbean for various reasons. Caribbean brands are more aware of the power of blog to influence, they are now monitoring and reading them; more professionals and newbies are using their blogs as a tool to build authority in their industry, with it acting as a passive yet effective leads generation tool. Further, others are using it to create alternative media, an outlet to publish news and opinions they are now seeing in mainstream. Add to that, there are 85 fans of Caribbean Blogs Facebook fan Page, 131 members of the Caribbean Blogger’s Massive Facebook Group, he Jamaica Bloggers Awards has been launched and with a Caribbean Bloggers Competition on its way according to a birdie. 🙂
