A sneak peak at the Digicel 4G USB modem…

Ok so here’s a sneak peak at the the Digicel 4G USB modem that’s being beta tested now. The gravevine told me to watch for August/September release, island wide coverage, possible package deals with netbooks and some sweet deals that will have people like me yanking the LIME DSL modems connections from the wall. We’ll see.
Digicel going 4G rumours started last year and there was speculation about them rolling out as early as January this year.

So what are my expectations for Digicel’s 4G?

1. Faster wireless connection speed for home, offices and virtual entrepreneurs like me who work from restaurants, cafes or even sitting in a parking lot.

2. Business consumers will be able to stay connected anywhere without disruption and still experience fast data connection for interactive multimedia, voice, and online video streaming.

3. A lower rate for data usage, cheaper than the competitors.

The wait and beta testing continues.
