There are a great deal of social news sites on the Internet, maybe too many. A lot of them are dormant or simply irrelevant as they are either not active or poorly marketed. 1. Digg: The largest and most popular social news website on the Internet. It covers all topics including politics, entertainment, technology and general news. The site also has a separate video and image section.
2. DotNetKicks: is a site that focuses on topics like NET development techniques, technologies and tools including ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, C++ and Visual Studio.
3. Hubspot is for marketers, entrepreneurs and business professionals.

8. Winelifetoday is a niche social site for wine lovers. Topics covered included news and opinion articles to do with wine.
