Supreme Ventures bets on mobile phones for lottery game expansion in Jamaica

SUPREME Ventures Limited (SVL) plans to enter the telephone betting market as part of its planned US$5-million ($425-million) expansion thrust over the next five years.

The move will follow the extension of its service deal with technology provider and gaming company GTECH Corporation, which has upgraded SVL’s technology platform from the previously installed propriety network to a GPRS-based network, which allows Internet access, multimedia messaging, instant messaging, Internet applications for smart devices and inter-networking with the Internet, all of which can facilitate the transmission of more data at higher speeds.
